Our Story
Business card from Maia's father's business, Aleph
The story of Aleph Accessibility holds a deep personal and cultural significance to Maia. “Aleph” is the name of the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet, part of Maia’s heritage. It also pays homage to Maia’s late father: a passionate technology enthusiast, he had envisioned starting a technology company of his own called Aleph before he lost his life to cancer.
Although Maia's father passed away when she was young, his love for technology and the seeds of entrepreneurship were instilled within her. Driven by her own passion and armed with her father's memory as a guiding light, Maia set out to create Aleph Accessibility—a company dedicated to making the digital world accessible to all.
Aleph Accessibility embodies the spirit of innovation, combining Maia's background as a web developer and her expertise as an IAAP-certified Web Accessibility Specialist. It is fueled by the belief that accessibility should be exactly that - easy to understand and implement in order to remove the barriers of creating an inclusive technological world.
Today, Aleph Accessibility stands as a beacon of expertise, providing unparalleled accessibility consulting solutions, auditing services and training programs. With a deep understanding of industry standards, Aleph Accessibility works hand in hand with clients to embrace accessibility best practices and create inclusive digital experiences.
